Picture of the Day- part II

I know I said I would only post one picture today, but since all this great content is free I would just accept the extra picture as a bonus.

This is a picture of the twins on there 2 birthday at baby school- ECFE for everyone else. Their teacher made up the crowns and they tastefully decorated them with stickers. They did not know it was their birthday I just mentioned it and in about 30 seconds they had their crowns. The decisiveness of preschool teachers is just marvelous, it would take me about that long to just think about the crown concept let alone figure out how to build them. It is sort like watching MacGyver for the preschool set.

Picture of the Day

We are trying something new here at Jerrythelibrarian- Picture of the Day.
Lots of professional Blogs have a picture of the day so I thought why not. Also the amount of time that it took to post multiple pictures and come up with something witty for each one contributed greatly to the lack of posts. So I thought I would cut down on the pictures and post more often. Let me know what you think.

This picture is from last fall and the young guys are running toward a park. I like it because they are dressed the same and thus they look twinish and it looks nice and warm. Also Jack looks like he is about to lay a unsuspecting Harry out with a bone crushing tackle. Good times.

The Wii- Brevason Style

HiCheck Spelling

We got a Wii for an early Christmas Present and here is video of the boys playing Tennis on it. They do not actually wait for the little tennis ball to come to them before they hit, not my guys. They just flail around until the ball stops moving and then look distraught when they lose the point. Jack is in the frame to add a little moral support and these guys need it.

More Pics

Camping at Jay Cooke May 2008

This post is dedicated to Lance. He emailed to thank me for re-launching the blog so for him I will post some pictures from our camping trip last summer. We went to Jay Cooke State Park, a past home for the Breva Clan- except Mindy, I think. It was a great trip, I highly recommend it.

Here are the pics:

This first one is the family minus Chris sitting around the picnic table. Sure it looks boring but it was actually a good time.

As seasoned parents we cooked up the end of the picnic bench for a table for the twins, clever, no? It only took about 4 days and about 20 pound of dirty food to figure that one out. None the less,I defy some of you 2 or 3 kid parents to come up with that one. It ain't happening.

We stayed in a camping cabin. These things are great. They have bunks, a table, and heat. We went at the end May, so the heat was nice. Tents are O.K., but I am not sure if they even make a tent big enough for us. I guess they probably do, but I don't care,I don't miss sleeping on the ground like some kind of animal, I am better that than that. I bet George Bush never slept on the ground, unless he was passed out or something. And if it to good enough for Ol Georgie boy, then its good enough for me.

Here is a shot of the bunks, nice, right? I just want to stress here that Jack usually has his pants on. In fact I would go so far to say that it is odd that he is pant less in the picture. Anybody who says differently is lying and I will swear on a stack of bibles that this is the case.

This is neither a great picture or all that interesting, but it does contain the one and only Christy Breva and since she is the defacto leader of our little clan how about a little love. Also she is the one who used to ride her bike around the campground when she was a little girl and frankly, she is just too cute not to post.

This is a closeup of a picture from above. I posted it because I think in makes me look fabulous, one of my best post-glasses pictures. You can hardly tell that I am a fat tub of goo here. In fact, there is a case to be made that maybe the guy in this picture might be athletic in some capacity. I liked this pic so much that I cropped the other guy out of the picture and use it on my Facebook page. Although I have not got any actually compliments on it I am sure people like and if they don't, well this is as good as it gets.

After we left Jay Cooke, we swung over to Dan and Barb's Cabin for the rest of the vacation and as it was perfect, as always. Here is a shot of the twins finally getting their work on. I didn't produce all these boys and not expect them to pull their weight. They did a good job of loading leaves into the cobblers wagon. They did seem to lose interest rather easy- just like there Dad, but not a bad start on the hard life of menial task that lie in front of them.

Here is a shot of Leo fishing. The boys love fishing. Christy love that the boys love fishing because for some reason I have to be the one who "helps" them fish. I on the other hand had hate fishing. They get their lines messed up all the time. If all of sudden the forget how to cast they they are despondent.
They do not actually use hooks or bait,
Christy has convinced them that they are not old enough to get a licence so they remain hook less. I actually fear for my safety once Iver figures out that he can read the manual on the Internet and I will be on the dock with 4 free swinging fishing hooks looking to rip me to shreds- it won't be pretty, and best of all it will all be my fault.

This picture is not from the trip, but it was to neat not to post. It is Jack after he has fallen asleep reading a book.

This last one is just to annoy Christy. It from our wedding reception and I fixed it up using picnik and it looks pretty good. I like to keep these pictures around just in case I come home and a Twilight Zone episode breaks out and everybody is telling me that my life never existed. I have these pics to prove it. Good luck getting anyone to believe your history rewrite when they see the hair on Christy. That is pure 90's gold.

The Librarian is Back

I am back in the saddle.

It has been a long time, but you can consider the Librarian back in the swing of things again. I had to take a primary season and election off- just too tense. But I will try to drop some Science you three or four times a week- That is a hip hop reference for you squares in the audience. To get things started out right here is a picture of Iver with his Lego pirate ship. I edited this pic on Picnik and I think it worked pretty slick. This web site allows you to use some basic picture editing tools right through your browser. This program is similar to Google's Picasa, but you do not have to download anything and you they help you save the pictures in your computer, not on some far away server. Give it a try it is a great way to goose up you pics.
