Fog 'Ditherer' Album - August 2007
King Bush- a not a good one like King Friday.
As everyone has heard by know President Bush has commuted the sentence of convicted liar Scooter Libby. He as decreed that although he respects the verdict, he finds the sentence excessive. This is something a King does not a President who respects the rule of law. Which is the main point; he doesn't and he thinks he is a king. Lets go over that list of monarchical innovations that this president has started in our fair republic.

- Listing to citizen phone calls without a warrant.
- The use of signing statements to get around the will of the Congress.
- Deeming signed treaties-i.e The Geneva Conventions- as quaint and refuse to follow them.
- He has claimed the right to seize anyone in the United States, detain them indefinitely without trial and torture them.
- The Vice President's attempts to explain his unwillingness to follow the rule on the handling of classified data with the theory that he not part of the Executive branch- pure hubris.

I didn't think he would do it, but it's really the only honorable course of action available to him. It would be silly for Bush to pretend to believe that people deserve to be punished for breaking the law to help cover up his administration's crimes when he clearly believes no such thing. Now it's out there in the open.He is exactly right. He does not believe in the rule of law or any sort of accountability and at least now it in front of everyone's nose. To vote Bush anything but the worst President is now officially a joke. I have said this many times but I hope everyone who voted for this disaster is happy.
