My brother got the band back together, and it rocked. Mark, my overly talented younger brother, had a reunion show for his former band 'Detroit' at the 400 Bar and my mom and I went and it was excellent. I have seen 'Detroit probably about 5 or 6 times and each and they are always great. It is really a mystery why they never caught on with the masses. Their live show is outstanding. They have crazy costumes, have really catchy and funny songs, the guys seem to get along, and the crowd is always lively. They never really found an audience outside Minnesota and that is a shame. They do a medley of Rush songs that transport you back to that magical time of 198
5. The originals that they did were mostly their fan favorites: 'Dude Drives a Chick Car, Monster Truck, My Smartest Friend, Fresh, let the Jello Set. The one glaring omission was no 'Fran Tarkenington I love that song. Now my obsession with this song may lay in some personal history. My Dad was the world's biggest Minnesota Viking fan. He went to two super bowls to follow the lads, had scads of Viking gear, and, in a favorite story of my mom's, lost money to bookies on a regular basis. He loved that team and its quarterback- Fran Tarkenton. Now Mark was only 3 or 4 when he died, so he really didn't know
him, but I have always maintained that it is a ode to he father and that always made me feel good about that tune. And besides its great song. That is my take on Detroit. It was great band that should been bigger, but then the music world is littered with bands that should have been something larger that they were so R.I.P Detroit. His current band- Fog- has not really been my cup of tea. They are changing focus, so maybe the new 3 piece will be more to my liking, I hope so those Detroit shows will be missed.

As you can see I fixed my Camera so it back to the family pictures. Here are a few shots of the babies:

This one is on the twins in their crib. We only have the one crib. We actually have a second one, but there is not room in the Inn, so we cram them into to single one. This shot has Harry considering a plan to steal Jack's Binky once and for all. He is very devious, he might look cute but diabolical is more like it.

Here is one of them sitting on the dinosaur blanket. Now that is my blanket- their was a time that everyone in Chris's family bought me dinosaur stuff and this is one of the better pieces of that collection. We use the blanket to keep them off the dog hair on the rug, but they roam so far now that it really is kind of waste of time.

Lastly, here is picture of Jack, Chris, and Chris. That is Chris the Mom and Chris the Dog. Chris, the Mom, has a few gray hairs, and I want to state for the record that those are not a reflection on me or the fact that she has been married to me for 15 years, that is just an ugly coincidence. She looks great, as always in this picture. Sure she has grey hair, but, and I think this is a irrefutable fact, its the best hair ever and that is not debatable. Chris the dog is trying horn in on the picture and the baby is a cute as ever- he must get from his mom. Lucky him.

You two sure to make good lookin' kids. BTW, I like that you sometimes say "here is one of them" when referring to a picture of one of the twins. When the twins get older I'm sure the angst of learning that Dad couldn't tell them apart will be fixable by years of intense therapy.
This has nothing to do with your post, but I thought do to your past affection for RC Cola (before they switched the formula) that you might find some additional humor in the article.
